Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high,


Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.


For the Lord, the Most High, is awesome, a great king over all the earth.


There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.


To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?


To whom then will you compare me, or who is my equal? says the Holy One.


All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look, to the humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at my word.


But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.


Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For that is your due; among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is no one like you.


Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when he said, ‘Through those who are near me I will show myself holy, and before all the people I will be glorified.’ ” And Aaron was silent.


Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.


And great fear seized the whole church and all who heard of these things.
