I am now about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God and dedicate it to him for offering fragrant incense before him, and for the regular offering of the rows of bread, and for burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths and the new moons and the appointed festivals of the Lord our God, as ordained forever for Israel.


For I know that the Lord is great; our Lord is above all gods.


who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever;


For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord,


a God feared in the council of the holy ones, great and awesome above all that are around him?


O Lord God of hosts, who is as mighty as you, O Lord? Your faithfulness surrounds you.


For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.


“Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in splendor, doing wonders?


So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.


To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?


To whom then will you compare me, or who is my equal? says the Holy One.


Not like these is the Lord, the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.


Therefore I make a decree: Any people, nation, or language that utters blasphemy against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be torn limb from limb, and their houses laid in ruins; for there is no other god who is able to deliver in this way.”


“O Lord God, you have only begun to show your servant your greatness and your might; what god in heaven or on earth can perform deeds and mighty acts like yours!


Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by terrifying displays of power, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?
