Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today.


You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.


The promises of the Lord are promises that are pure, silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.


The nations are in an uproar, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.


You silence the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples.


Rise up, O God, judge the earth; for all the nations belong to you!


Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods, because he delivered the people from the Egyptians, when they dealt arrogantly with them.”


but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.


And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
