Why are we counted as cattle? Why are we stupid in your sight?


Do not be like a horse or a mule, without understanding, whose temper must be curbed with bit and bridle, else it will not stay near you.


When we look at the wise, they die; fool and dolt perish together and leave their wealth to others.


O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.


The dullard cannot know, the stupid cannot understand this:


though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever,


Surely I am too stupid to be human; I do not have human understanding.


I said in my heart with regard to human beings that God is testing them to show that they are but animals.


The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master's crib; but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.
