Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.


For God speaks in one way, and in two, though people do not perceive it.


For according to their deeds he will repay them, and according to their ways he will make it befall them.


The Almighty —we cannot find him; he is great in power and justice, and abundant righteousness he will not violate.


If it is a contest of strength, he is the strong one! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon him?


But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children,


The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.


But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.


For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.


if you say, “Look, we did not know this”— does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it? And will he not repay all according to their deeds?


great in counsel and mighty in deed; whose eyes are open to all the ways of mortals, rewarding all according to their ways and according to the fruit of their doings.


Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, all of you according to your ways, says the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions; otherwise iniquity will be your ruin.


Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is not just.” O house of Israel, I will judge all of you according to your ways!


The king shall mourn, the prince shall be wrapped in despair, and the hands of the people of the land shall tremble. According to their way I will deal with them; according to their own judgments I will judge them. And they shall know that I am the Lord.


Incline your ear, O my God, and hear. Open your eyes and look at our desolation and the city that bears your name. We do not present our supplication before you on the ground of our righteousness, but on the ground of your great mercies.


To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him,


Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of your possession? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in showing clemency.


“For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone for what has been done.


For he will repay according to each one's deeds:


The one who plants and the one who waters have a common purpose, and each will receive wages according to the labor of each.


For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil.


knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again from the Lord, whether we are slaves or free.


For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong has been done, and there is no partiality.


If you invoke as Father the one who judges all people impartially according to their deeds, live in reverent fear during the time of your exile.


“See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.
