Abraham said of his wife Sarah, “She is my sister.” And King Abimelech of Gerar sent and took Sarah.


Now there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar, to King Abimelech of the Philistines.


Upon you I have leaned from my birth; it was you who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you.


My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all day long.


The fear of others lays a snare, but one who trusts in the Lord is secure.


About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
