But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have sworn to the Lord, God Most High, maker of heaven and earth,


Their mouths are filled with cursing and deceit and oppression; under their tongues are mischief and iniquity.


Therefore he raised his hand and swore to them that he would make them fall in the wilderness,


They utter lies to each other; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.


And when they come to see me, they utter empty words, while their hearts gather mischief; when they go out, they tell it abroad.


The wicked go astray from the womb; they err from their birth, speaking lies.


Their only plan is to bring down a person of prominence. They take pleasure in falsehood; they bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah


He feeds on ashes; a deluded mind has led him astray, and he cannot save himself or say, “Is not this thing in my right hand a fraud?”


And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into hell.


For I lift up my hand to heaven, and swear: As I live forever,
