He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud; they kept his decrees, and the statutes that he gave them.


a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness! Like blackness spread upon the mountains a great and powerful army comes; their like has never been from of old, nor will be again after them in ages to come.


The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.


These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm; for them the deepest darkness has been reserved.


For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of deepest darkness to be kept until the judgment;


If you will fear the Lord and serve him and heed his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well;
