How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?


Rise up, O Lord, confront them, overthrow them! By your sword deliver my life from the wicked,


Wondrously show your steadfast love, O savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.


Rise up, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.


Rise up, O Lord, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake, O my God; you have appointed a judgment.


Do not deliver the soul of your dove to the wild animals; do not forget the life of your poor forever.


Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah


For he who avenges blood is mindful of them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.


Be gracious to me, O Lord. See what I suffer from those who hate me; you are the one who lifts me up from the gates of death,


Rise up, O Lord! Do not let mortals prevail; let the nations be judged before you.


Rise up, O judge of the earth; give to the proud what they deserve!


O Lord, your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed. Let the fire for your adversaries consume them.


“Now I will arise,” says the Lord, “now I will lift myself up; now I will be exalted.


Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.


Then Samson called to the Lord and said, “Lord God, remember me and strengthen me only this once, O God, so that with this one act of revenge I may pay back the Philistines for my two eyes.”
