On the lips of one who has understanding wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of one who lacks sense.


The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense.


Whoever belittles another lacks sense, but an intelligent person remains silent.


Those who till their land will have plenty of food, but those who follow worthless pursuits have no sense.


making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;


I passed by the field of one who was lazy, by the vineyard of a stupid person;


He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.


and I saw among the simple ones, I observed among the youths, a young man without sense,


but those who miss me injure themselves; all who hate me love death.”


“You that are simple, turn in here!” To those without sense she says,


Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but do not see, who have ears, but do not hear.


They were well-fed lusty stallions, each neighing for his neighbor's wife.


Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed against me, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel?


I will destroy you, O Israel; who can help you?


Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
