The priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came to draw water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.


She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.


She is like the ships of the merchant, she brings her food from far away.


to aspire to live quietly, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we directed you,


she must be well attested for her good works, as one who has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints' feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to doing good in every way.


So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, and manage their households, so as to give the adversary no occasion to revile us.
