He was hired for this purpose, to intimidate me and make me sin by acting in this way, and so they could give me a bad name, in order to taunt me.


With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.


The righteous gives good advice to friends, but the way of the wicked leads astray.


A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.


One who winks the eyes plans perverse things; one who compresses the lips brings evil to pass.


Do not envy the violent and do not choose any of their ways;


You therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, beware that you are not carried away with the error of the lawless and lose your own stability.


Saul sent messengers to David's house to keep watch over him, planning to kill him in the morning. David's wife Michal told him, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”
