The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he recompensed me.


Therefore the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight.


Then as he went away, a lion met him on the road and killed him. His body was thrown in the road, and the donkey stood beside it; the lion also stood beside the body.


Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but those who hate to be rebuked are stupid.


Misfortune pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.


Like an archer who wounds everybody is one who hires a passing fool or drunkard.


I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant, and lay low the insolence of tyrants.


Woe to the guilty! How unfortunate they are, for what their hands have done shall be done to them.


See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that is called by my name, and how can you possibly avoid punishment? You shall not go unpunished, for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, says the Lord of hosts.


But the Levites who went far from me, going astray from me after their idols when Israel went astray, shall bear their punishment.


And it shall be like people, like priest; I will punish them for their ways, and repay them for their deeds.
