So God dealt well with the midwives; and the people multiplied and became very strong.


yet they lie in wait—to kill themselves! and set an ambush—for their own lives!


The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin.


Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of anger will fail.


The iniquities of the wicked ensnare them, and they are caught in the toils of their sin.


Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; and whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a snake.


Their heart is false; now they must bear their guilt. The Lord will break down their altars, and destroy their pillars.


The reaper is already receiving wages and is gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.


You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self, corrupt and deluded by its lusts,


And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.
