When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.


“See, God will not reject a blameless person, nor take the hand of evildoers.


Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me.


May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.


For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.


The crooked of mind do not prosper, and the perverse of tongue fall into calamity.


though hatred is covered with guile, the enemy's wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.


The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.


One who walks in integrity will be safe, but whoever follows crooked ways will fall into the Pit.


Then you will walk on your way securely and your foot will not stumble.


“So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known.


Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive commendation from God.


So also good works are conspicuous; and even when they are not, they cannot remain hidden.
