Indeed, we live as human beings, but we do not wage war according to human standards;


and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.


I am hard pressed between the two: my desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better;


but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for you.


For I want you to know how much I am struggling for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for all who have not seen me face to face.


so as to live for the rest of your earthly life no longer by human desires but by the will of God.
