Someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought you my son; he has a spirit that makes him unable to speak;


I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.


I am not writing this to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children.


For though you might have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Indeed, in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.


My little children, for whom I am again in the pain of childbirth until Christ is formed in you,


he is coming with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here.


To Timothy, my loyal child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.


To Titus, my loyal child in the faith we share: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.


Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful both to you and to me.


I wanted to keep him with me, so that he might be of service to me in your place during my imprisonment for the gospel;


I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
