(He ordered that The Song of the Bow be taught to the people of Judah; it is written in the Book of Jashar.) He said:


Like fluttering birds, like scattered nestlings, so are the daughters of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.


From there they set out, and camped on the other side of the Arnon, in the wilderness that extends from the boundary of the Amorites; for the Arnon is the boundary of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.


and the slopes of the wadis that extend to the seat of Ar, and lie along the border of Moab.”


Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.
