They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.


At that time those who had come from captivity, the returned exiles, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel, twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and as a sin offering twelve male goats; all this was a burnt offering to the Lord.


You shall also offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old as a sacrifice of well-being.


Speak to the people of Israel, saying: When anyone sins unintentionally in any of the Lord's commandments about things not to be done, and does any one of them:


When a ruler sins, doing unintentionally any one of all the things that by commandments of the Lord his God ought not to be done and incurs guilt,


once the sin that he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a male goat without blemish.

All the congregation of the Israelites shall be forgiven, as well as the aliens residing among them, because the whole people was involved in the error.
