So I said, “The thing that you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God, to prevent the taunts of the nations our enemies?


the voices of princes were hushed, and their tongues stuck to the roof of their mouths.


“They are dismayed, they answer no more; they have not a word to say.


Whoever kidnaps a person, whether that person has been sold or is still held in possession, shall be put to death.


and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding robe?’ And he was speechless.


to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.


For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.

For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have.


So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.


If someone is caught kidnaping another Israelite, enslaving or selling the Israelite, then that kidnaper shall die. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
