When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, (fame due to the name of the Lord), she came to test him with hard questions.


He was wiser than anyone else, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, children of Mahol; his fame spread throughout all the surrounding nations.


The fame of David went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the fear of him on all nations.


So I have provided for the house of my God, so far as I was able, the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, besides great quantities of onyx and stones for setting, antimony, colored stones, all sorts of precious stones, and marble in abundance.


He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”


Then they brought to him a demoniac who was blind and mute; and he cured him, so that the one who had been mute could speak and see.


At that time Herod the ruler heard reports about Jesus;


Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came out and started shouting, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon.”


and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly; he often falls into the fire and often into the water.


And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly.


Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people.


When he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demoniacs coming out of the tombs met him. They were so fierce that no one could pass that way.


The swineherds ran off, and on going into the town, they told the whole story about what had happened to the demoniacs.


and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible distress.”


And the report of this spread throughout that district.


Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness.


At once his fame began to spread throughout the surrounding region of Galilee.


That evening, at sundown, they brought to him all who were sick or possessed with demons.


Then some people came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them.


And when they could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and after having dug through it, they let down the mat on which the paralytic lay.


Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and take your mat and walk’?


This was the first registration and was taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria.


Then Jesus, filled with the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding country.


After leaving the synagogue he entered Simon's house. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her.


But now more than ever the word about Jesus spread abroad; many crowds would gather to hear him and to be cured of their diseases.


But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the one who was paralyzed—“I say to you, stand up and take your bed and go to your home.”


This word about him spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding country.


Others were saying, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”


how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.


with the following letter: “The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the believers of Gentile origin in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings.


He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.


After this happened, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured.


for unclean spirits, crying with loud shrieks, came out of many who were possessed; and many others who were paralyzed or lame were cured.


So the Lord was with Joshua; and his fame was in all the land.
