if I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, or a poor person without covering,


Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who shepherd my people: It is you who have scattered my flock, and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. So I will attend to you for your evil doings, says the Lord.


The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery; they have oppressed the poor and needy, and have extorted from the alien without redress.


I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’


for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,


Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?’


After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Come, let us return and visit the believers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.”


Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.


Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.
