the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour that he does not know.


But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I do not know you.’


Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”


Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to warn everyone with tears.


Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.


So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober;


As for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully.


The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.


Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.


(“See, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and is clothed, not going about naked and exposed to shame.”)
