He said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord.” So he had him ride in his chariot.


It shall serve for you as a sign on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead, so that the teaching of the Lord may be on your lips; for with a strong hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt.


Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.


On the seventh day the priest shall examine the itch; if the itch has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the itch appears to be no deeper than the skin,


Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak,


So he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of others; but God knows your hearts; for what is prized by human beings is an abomination in the sight of God.


They devour widows' houses and for the sake of appearance say long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation.”


for they loved human glory more than the glory that comes from God.


How can you believe when you accept glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the one who alone is God?


Those who speak on their own seek their own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and there is nothing false in him.
