Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you in the womb and will help you: Do not fear, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.


There is no one to guide her among all the children she has borne; there is no one to take her by the hand among all the children she has brought up.


It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt—a covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, says the Lord.


and begged him repeatedly, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well, and live.”


He took him aside in private, away from the crowd, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue.
