And now I have one request to make of you; do not refuse me.” She said to him, “Go on.”


Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.” And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you.”


As he went from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets, and he called them.


And he said to them, “What is it you want me to do for you?”


He took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be distressed and agitated.


He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.


Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them,
