therefore I did not presume to come to you. But only speak the word, and let my servant be healed.


When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, he said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”


Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the tribune, for he has something to report to him.”


Then he summoned two of the centurions and said, “Get ready to leave by nine o'clock tonight for Caesarea with two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen.


“Claudius Lysias to his Excellency the governor Felix, greetings.


So the soldiers, according to their instructions, took Paul and brought him during the night to Antipatris.


Then he ordered the centurion to keep him in custody, but to let him have some liberty and not to prevent any of his friends from taking care of his needs.


But I have nothing definite to write to our sovereign about him. Therefore I have brought him before all of you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that, after we have examined him, I may have something to write—


Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only while being watched and in order to please them, but wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.
