He went up from there to Bethel; and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go away, baldhead! Go away, baldhead!”


His head is the finest gold; his locks are wavy, black as a raven.


Dibon has gone up to the temple, to the high places to weep; over Nebo and over Medeba Moab wails. On every head is baldness, every beard is shorn;


the priest shall make an examination, and if the spots on the skin of the body are of a dull white, it is a rash that has broken out on the skin; he is clean.


If he loses the hair from his forehead and temples, he has baldness of the forehead but he is clean.


I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on all loins, and baldness on every head; I will make it like the mourning for an only son, and the end of it like a bitter day.


Therefore, do not let sin exercise dominion in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions.


I am speaking in human terms because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to greater and greater iniquity, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness for sanctification.


But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.


You know that it was because of a physical infirmity that I first announced the gospel to you;
