Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—


Your people will offer themselves willingly on the day you lead your forces on the holy mountains. From the womb of the morning, like dew, your youth will come to you.


but overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, for his steadfast love endures forever;


the God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me;


Let Mount Zion be glad, let the towns of Judah rejoice because of your judgments.


O Lord, you God of vengeance, you God of vengeance, shine forth!


Zion hears and is glad, and the towns of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments, O God.


For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward; but if not of my own will, I am entrusted with a commission.


For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have.


Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.


Praise, O heavens, his people, worship him, all you gods! For he will avenge the blood of his children, and take vengeance on his adversaries; he will repay those who hate him, and cleanse the land for his people.


He chose the best for himself, for there a commander's allotment was reserved; he came at the head of the people, he executed the justice of the Lord, and his ordinances for Israel.


for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.


but I preferred to do nothing without your consent, in order that your good deed might be voluntary and not something forced.


Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints and apostles and prophets! For God has given judgment for you against her.”


for his judgments are true and just; he has judged the great whore who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”


My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless the Lord.
