They utter lies to each other; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.


The mouth of a loose woman is a deep pit; he with whom the Lord is angry falls into it.


A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin.


for a prostitute's fee is only a loaf of bread, but the wife of another stalks a man's very life.


With much seductive speech she persuades him; with her smooth talk she compels him.


The faithful have disappeared from the land, and there is no one left who is upright; they all lie in wait for blood, and they hunt each other with nets.


Put no trust in a friend, have no confidence in a loved one; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your embrace;


She wept before him the seven days that their feast lasted; and because she nagged him, on the seventh day he told her. Then she explained the riddle to her people.


The lords of the Philistines came to her and said to her, “Coax him, and find out what makes his strength so great, and how we may overpower him, so that we may bind him in order to subdue him; and we will each give you eleven hundred pieces of silver.”


Samson said to her, “If they bind me with seven fresh bowstrings that are not dried out, then I shall become weak, and be like anyone else.”
