So the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth.”


Then some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean by saying to us, ‘A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”


On that day you will ask nothing of me. Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.


On that day you will ask in my name. I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf;


Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?


for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.


Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.


He said to him the third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.


The Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you will be astonished.


Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now I am here. I did not come on my own, but he sent me.


And before him no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account.
