I have loved you, says the Lord. But you say, “How have you loved us?” Is not Esau Jacob's brother? says the Lord. Yet I have loved Jacob


I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.


I am giving you these commands so that you may love one another.


love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.


and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.


And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you.


Now concerning love of the brothers and sisters, you do not need to have anyone write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another;


We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.


Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual love, love one another deeply from the heart.


Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.


Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.


And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.


The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.


But now, dear lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning, let us love one another.
