After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, “Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”


Go and tell my servant David: Thus says the Lord: Are you the one to build me a house to live in?


This was the promise of the Lord that he gave to Jehu, “Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it happened.


But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have waged great wars; you shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed so much blood in my sight on the earth.


Jehu son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.


And when they had crucified him, they divided his clothes among themselves by casting lots;


For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.


But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one stroke of a letter in the law to be dropped.


Jesus answered, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?


can you say that the one whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world is blaspheming because I said, ‘I am God's Son’?


After this, when Jesus knew that all was now finished, he said (in order to fulfill the scripture), “I am thirsty.”


“Friends, the scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit through David foretold concerning Judas, who became a guide for those who arrested Jesus—


Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God.


The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you shall heed such a prophet.
