In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,

Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”

Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.

then I was beside him, like a master worker; and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always,

I made the earth, and created humankind upon it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.

For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): I am the Lord, and there is no other.

He was in the world, and the world came into being through him; yet the world did not know him.

He was in the beginning with God.

By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the parent loves the child.

“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the origin of God's creation:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
