they will not escape from darkness; the flame will dry up their shoots, and their blossom will be swept away by the wind.


Pour out the overflowings of your anger, and look on all who are proud, and abase them.


Hide them all in the dust together; bind their faces in the world below.


Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.


You blew with your wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.


At the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up, the floods stood up in a heap; the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.


but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.


For his burning place has long been prepared; truly it is made ready for the king, its pyre made deep and wide, with fire and wood in abundance; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.


The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people are grass.


And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming.


Repent then. If not, I will come to you soon and make war against them with the sword of my mouth.
