God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.


“Are you the firstborn of the human race? Were you brought forth before the hills?


In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves up; they do not know the light.


and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stopped’?


so that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?


Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!


“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding.


for we are but of yesterday, and we know nothing, for our days on earth are but a shadow.


Yours is the day, yours also the night; you established the luminaries and the sun.


The one who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning, and darkens the day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the Lord is his name,


By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us,


So we have the prophetic message more fully confirmed. You will do well to be attentive to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
