But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?


But I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to argue my case with God.


Hear now my reasoning, and listen to the pleadings of my lips.


These are indeed but the outskirts of his ways; and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”


Should he be told that I want to speak? Did anyone ever wish to be swallowed up?


“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?


“See, I am of small account; what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.


‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.


How then can I answer him, choosing my words with him?


Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.


I was stupid and ignorant; I was like a brute beast toward you.


Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.


For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.


Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.
