“Hear us, my lord; you are a mighty prince among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our burial places; none of us will withhold from you any burial ground for burying your dead.”


You shall be over my house, and all my people shall order themselves as you command; only with regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”


For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the entire earth, to strengthen those whose heart is true to him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.


The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.


But you have upheld me because of my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.


I will fasten him like a peg in a secure place, and he will become a throne of honor to his ancestral house.


The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing


But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.


For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”


He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and on them he has set the world.
