I could encourage you with my mouth, and the solace of my lips would assuage your pain.


Therefore snares are around you, and sudden terror overwhelms you,


or darkness so that you cannot see; a flood of water covers you.


Is not your wickedness great? There is no end to your iniquities.


Would that Job were tried to the limit, because his answers are those of the wicked.


Who is there like Job, who drinks up scoffing like water,


who goes in company with evildoers and walks with the wicked?


Be assured, the wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will escape.


They know God's decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die—yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them.


Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you do not take part in her sins, and so that you do not share in her plagues;
