Moreover the Lord will raise up for himself a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam today, even right now!


He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty.


“How long will you torment me, and break me in pieces with words?


You shall break them with a rod of iron, and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”


May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the needy, and crush the oppressor.


They crush your people, O Lord, and afflict your heritage.


Then he shall turn back toward the fortresses of his own land, but he shall stumble and fall, and shall not be found.


He changes times and seasons, deposes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.


If a man has sexual relations with a woman who is a slave, designated for another man but not ransomed or given her freedom, an inquiry shall be held. They shall not be put to death, since she has not been freed;
