and Haman recounted to them the splendor of his riches, the number of his sons, all the promotions with which the king had honored him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and the ministers of the king.


They despair of returning from darkness, and they are destined for the sword.


They have no offspring or descendant among their people, and no survivor where they used to live.


Their children will seek the favor of the poor, and their hands will give back their wealth.


The strong lion perishes for lack of prey, and the whelps of the lioness are scattered.


May his children wander about and beg; may they be driven out of the ruins they inhabit.
