He prayed to him, and God received his entreaty, heard his plea, and restored him again to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord indeed was God.


If he tears down, no one can rebuild; if he shuts someone in, no one can open up.


In their tents nothing remains; sulfur is scattered upon their habitations.


But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.


The Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing; they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their supplications and heal them.


Turn back to him whom you have deeply betrayed, O people of Israel.


Those who walk righteously and speak uprightly, who despise the gain of oppression, who wave away a bribe instead of accepting it, who stop their ears from hearing of bloodshed and shut their eyes from looking on evil,


Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall take your tambourines, and go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.


“Come, let us return to the Lord; for it is he who has torn, and he will heal us; he has struck down, and he will bind us up.
