These are the men who crossed the Jordan in the first month, when it was overflowing all its banks, and put to flight all those in the valleys, to the east and to the west.


Deep calls to deep at the thunder of your cataracts; all your waves and your billows have gone over me.


If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength being small;


My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof,


Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the people of Anathoth, who seek your life, and say, “You shall not prophesy in the name of the Lord, or you will die by our hand”—
