O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!


And on that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.


A voice says, “Cry out!” And I said, “What shall I cry?” All people are grass, their constancy is like the flower of the field.


Your first ancestor sinned, and your interpreters transgressed against me.


Thus says the Lord: Where is your mother's bill of divorce with which I put her away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? No, because of your sins you were sold, and for your transgressions your mother was put away.


Israel's sentinels are blind, they are all without knowledge; they are all silent dogs that cannot bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.


I will concede your righteousness and your works, but they will not help you.


For our transgressions before you are many, and our sins testify against us. Our transgressions indeed are with us, and we know our iniquities:


Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the Lord: I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.


In the fifth year of King Jehoiakim son of Josiah of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who came from the towns of Judah to Jerusalem proclaimed a fast before the Lord.


Also I raised up sentinels for you: “Give heed to the sound of the trumpet!” But they said, “We will not give heed.”


Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity to restore your fortunes, but have seen oracles for you that are false and misleading.


Therefore prophesy against them; prophesy, O mortal.”


Mortal, make known to Jerusalem her abominations,


Will you judge them, mortal, will you judge them? Then let them know the abominations of their ancestors,


You, mortal, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then declare to it all its abominable deeds.


The Lord said to me: Mortal, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominable deeds.


and if the sentinel sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people;


Set the trumpet to your lips! One like a vulture is over the house of the Lord, because they have broken my covenant, and transgressed my law.


“Go at once to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before me.”


Declare these things; exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one look down on you.


I was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet


After this I looked, and there in heaven a door stood open! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
