come out. Look, O daughters of Zion, at King Solomon, at the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, on the day of the gladness of his heart.


When you stretch out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.


I will turn my hand against you; I will smelt away your dross as with lye and remove all your alloy.


The strong shall become like tinder, and their work like a spark; they and their work shall burn together, with no one to quench them.


Therefore by this the guilt of Jacob will be expiated, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altars like chalkstones crushed to pieces, no sacred poles or incense altars will remain standing.


and a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.


Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts the land was burned, and the people became like fuel for the fire; no one spared another.
