All their neighbors aided them with silver vessels, with gold, with goods, with animals, and with valuable gifts, besides all that was freely offered.


I could encourage you with my mouth, and the solace of my lips would assuage your pain.


But Moses' hands grew weary; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; so his hands were steady until the sun set.


Again one in human form touched me and strengthened me.


On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands grow weak.


Thus says the Lord of hosts: Let your hands be strong—you that have recently been hearing these words from the mouths of the prophets who were present when the foundation was laid for the rebuilding of the temple, the house of the Lord of hosts.


but I have prayed for you that your own faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”


Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and gave him strength.

Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees,
