Their ways prosper at all times; your judgments are on high, out of their sight; as for their foes, they scoff at them.


The earth lies polluted under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.


A highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not travel on it, but it shall be for God's people; no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray.


In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, King Sennacherib of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.


The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to the festivals; all her gates are desolate, her priests groan; her young girls grieve, and her lot is bitter.
