On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear.


Tell the innocent how fortunate they are, for they shall eat the fruit of their labors.


then you shall take delight in the Lord, and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Jacob, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.


Therefore thus says the Lord God: My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame;


And to this people you shall say: Thus says the Lord: See, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.


Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, and let me dwell with you in this place.


For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another,


then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.


You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.


The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and live on it securely.


If you follow my statutes and keep my commandments and observe them faithfully,


Your threshing shall overtake the vintage, and the vintage shall overtake the sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and live securely in your land.


Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of the prophet Haggai, as the Lord their God had sent him; and the people feared the Lord.


If you will only obey the Lord your God, by diligently observing all his commandments that I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth;


and having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,
