Know that I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”


He said, “What shall I give you?” Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything; if you will do this for me, I will again feed your flock and keep it:


and said to them, “I see that your father does not regard me as favorably as he did before. But the God of my father has been with me.


I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”


The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us,


David said further to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and act. Do not be afraid or dismayed; for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.


For the wicked boast of the desires of their heart, those greedy for gain curse and renounce the Lord.

adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly.


Soldiers also asked him, “And we, what should we do?” He said to them, “Do not extort money from anyone by threats or false accusation, and be satisfied with your wages.”


As for what fell among the thorns, these are the ones who hear; but as they go on their way, they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.


They were filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, craftiness, they are gossips,


But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one.


thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.


persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;


But fornication and impurity of any kind, or greed, must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints.


Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure person, or one who is greedy (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.


Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.”


It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”


Because the Lord your God is a merciful God, he will neither abandon you nor destroy you; he will not forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them.


Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry).


not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, and not a lover of money.


No one shall be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.


when I saw among the spoil a beautiful mantle from Shinar, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. They now lie hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath.”


They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!


And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation, pronounced against them long ago, has not been idle, and their destruction is not asleep.


Woe to them! For they go the way of Cain, and abandon themselves to Balaam's error for the sake of gain, and perish in Korah's rebellion.


Now when these signs meet you, do whatever you see fit to do, for God is with you.


For the Lord will not cast away his people, for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.
