Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire from his mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from him.


Our God comes and does not keep silence, before him is a devouring fire, and a mighty tempest all around him.


Fire goes before him, and consumes his adversaries on every side.


In the greatness of your majesty you overthrew your adversaries; you sent out your fury, it consumed them like stubble.


Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel.


The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting flames?”


For the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to pay back his anger in fury, and his rebuke in flames of fire.


and the peaceful folds are devastated, because of the fierce anger of the Lord.

Now when the people complained in the hearing of the Lord about their misfortunes, the Lord heard it and his anger was kindled. Then the fire of the Lord burned against them, and consumed some outlying parts of the camp.


And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the two hundred fifty men offering the incense.


Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we try to persuade others; but we ourselves are well known to God, and I hope that we are also well known to your consciences.


For the Lord your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.


Know then today that the Lord your God is the one who crosses over before you as a devouring fire; he will defeat them and subdue them before you, so that you may dispossess and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has promised you.


and to give relief to the afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels


in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.


but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.


It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.


But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been reserved for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the godless.
